- Flooded Roads/Buildings
General area where flooding occurs. -
-
Anonymous
7 months 2 weeks agoThis intersection pools water whenever it rains/snow melts. There runoff down Old Orchard Drive is strong, but then not all of the water makes it to the drains. It especially is dangerous when the water freezes and makes an ice patch. This intersection is also a bus stop for the school district. Drivers have to swerve the water/ice to safely approach students.

8 months 2 weeks agoWhen significant rains or snow melt off occurs a 'small lake' is created on the cemetery side of the road and extends outward onto the road. I am surprised this was not addressed when the school was constructed with the water being collected and run under the roadways to flow in the underground drainage collector that was installed on the southern side of roadway.

There is only one drain on the corner that covers one side of Stones Crossing & and water from Nicholas St. as well. Drain fills with debree often. Water collects and causes unsafe road conditions and damage to the home owners property.

1231 Tatamy Rd 9 months, 1 week agoPersonal home, catastrophic flooding in our home every time it rains 2+ inches. Just can’t afford the expensive and extensive landscape needs to divert water. This shouldn’t happen and I believe storm water drainage systems are outdated and construction as messed with the water table.

3488 Virginia St 9 months agoFlooded road and runoff in this area is a major issue. My backyard turns into a lake, the water finds its way to my basement every time we have more than one inch of rain. We need more storm drainage on Freemansburg Ave and the Haupt,/Whitney/ Butterscotch intersection. Ironically I get more water in basement here with no body of water near than I did when I lived on the Delaware River for 26 years 🙄

No further occupancy should be allowed at the apartments being built on the old ITT property until the traffic light is installed at Greenwood Avenue. Left hand lane will be needed on northbound Greenwood

2299 Northwood Ave 9 months, 1 week agoHorrible intersection with the 4-way stop. Have almost been hit multiple times by people running it. Also very frequently severely backed up at certain times of the day

Do to the growth of dense housing developments, traffic has ballooned. If developments are going to be taxing our roadways, the cost to address the congestion should be figured into development fees. A traffic signal beyond a blinking light is needed here.

7 months 2 weeks agoI have witnessed more drivers run these stop signs at 40+ mph that I have anywhere else. Why is this a 3-way stop and not al all-stop intersection? These 3 stop signs should have flashing lights or make this a 4- way stop! Especially since this is right outside of the elementary school. This intersection needs to be addressed. I realize this might be in Bethlehem Township, but making a comment just in case someone sees it.

8 months 2 weeks agoOutdated intersection, some people stopped on greenwood see the stop sign but don’t realize that Green pond road traffic doesn’t have to stop if you are turning right

Wholeheartedly agree. Many people do 'rolling stops' and many barely touch the brakes on northbound Greenwood. Too many people have no clue that "opposing traffic" also relates to eastbound traffic on Green Pond that does not stop if turning right.

3 Weller Pl 9 months agoThis is supposedly a “bird sanctuary” but is literally just an empty field with some birdhouses in it and no actual resources to support birds. Would love if it was turned into a meadow with paths through it to enjoy (similar to portions of St Luke’s Anderson campus/Rodale, Cherry Valley, Mariton, etc). It would be nice to have some walking trails that are actually a natural space and would also actually provide habitat for birds other than house sparrows.
